Delete your
account
The fastest way. Open the app, tap your
avatar, then Settings → Delete account. Confirm, and your account and personal
data are removed. You do not need to email anyone, and you do not need our permission.
Deleting from inside the app
- Open TC and make sure you are signed in.
- Tap your avatar in the top-left corner to open your profile.
- Tap the settings icon in the top-right corner.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You are signed out immediately and the account is scheduled for deletion.
Deleting by email
If you cannot access the app — for example you have lost the device or can no longer sign in — email us instead.
- Write to support@thecollectibles.io from the email address on the account.
- Use the subject line Account deletion request.
- Include the handle or display name on the account so we can find it.
- We will acknowledge within 48 hours and may ask one question to confirm it is your account.
- The account is then deleted on the same terms as deleting from inside the app.
What is deleted
- Your account — email address, password hash, sign-in links to Google, Apple or Discord, and all active sessions and tokens.
- Your profile — display name, handle, picture, bio and links.
- Your collection — every card, quantity, condition, grade and collection you created.
- Your scan history — the records of what you scanned, and any link between remaining anonymous records and you.
- Your posts, comments, reactions and follows.
- Your achievements and progress.
- Images you uploaded — profile pictures and photos attached to posts.
Deletion completes within 30 days. Backups containing your data expire on their own schedule, within 90 days at the outside.
What may remain
- Messages you sent to other collectors — a copy stays in the other person's conversation, because it is their message history too. It is no longer linked to a live profile.
- Aggregated and anonymised statistics — counts and measurements that cannot identify you, kept to understand how the app is used.
- Records the law requires us to keep — accounting, tax and fraud-prevention records, for as long as Estonian law requires (currently seven years), and anything we must retain for an ongoing legal claim.
- Security logs — for up to 12 months, then deleted on schedule.
Things worth knowing first
- Deletion is permanent. Your collection cannot be restored afterwards, so export or note anything you want to keep before you start.
- Deleting your account does not remove the app from your device. Uninstall it separately if you want to.
- If you only want to stop other collectors seeing you, you do not have to delete anything: Settings → Private profile hides your profile instead.
